Series Alert: Saranda as a Local

The first thing I always do when deciding on the next city to visit is Google the top things to do and the best places to see like a local. From my experience, some of the results are not always genuine and can sometimes be little more than marketing traps.
That’s why I decided to create a series called Saranda as a Local (SAAL). Through these blog posts, I want to show guests of Solvèa Apartments (and anyone else who’s curious) the places and experiences that truly make Saranda special. From my favourite bars and restaurants to the best beaches, hidden corners, local attractions, and everything in between, this is Saranda through the eyes of someone who calls it home.
Now, a small disclaimer: I can be a little melancholic and nostalgic at times. Some of the places I recommend might not be the absolute best by every standard, but if you’re signing up to experience Saranda like a local, then you simply have to try the sandwiches we used to eat during our high school breaks. Don’t worry—I’ll always let you know when something is genuinely exceptional or when it’s a must-try simply because, for a day, you’re Albanian too. 😉
I hope you enjoy reading these blogs as much as I enjoy writing them, and I hope you enjoy your time in Saranda as much as I miss my city whenever I’m away.
Welcome to Solvèa’s blog series: Saranda as a Local.
